Brandon has been surfing for over 10 years, is an Internationally certified surf instructor with ISA., and a certified lifeguard. A retired international stuntman, Brandon loves the life of adventure. He has lived and surfed around the world, including China, Sri Lanka, Dubai and Israel, and is excited to bring his experience to Crescent City.
Brandon's extensive experience, and gentle, patient nature make him a great instructor for all ages and skill levels.
With a love of all things water, Kate began competitive swimming at age 5, and her 1st job was a lifeguard/swim instructor. Graduating with a degree in Marine Conservation and Outdoor Education, she moved to Hawai'i where she learned to surf, and now has 16 years experience riding a variety of boards and waves. Kate has always enjoyed giving lessons, and in 2020 added Surf Coach to her skill set. She loves to be in the water with people of all ages and comfort levels, creating a safe and fun environment for others to try new things and push comfort zones in a healthy way. Kate is excited to share her love of surf and healthy living with you, and desires to see us all living our best lives.
Alex has surfed on four continents and taught surf on three. He has been surfing for 10 years and enjoys most single fins and alternative boards. His passion has spilled over into the shaping of boards, making boards has taught him a deeper appreciation for surf. When he isn't surfing he can be found in the forests of the wild coast, tending to his land or exploring.
The International Surfing Association (ISA), founded in 1964, is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as the World Governing Authority for Surfing. The ISA governs and defines Surfing as Shortboard, Longboard & Bodyboarding, StandUp Paddle (SUP) Racing and Surfing, Para-Surfing, Bodysurfing, Wakesurfing, and all other wave riding activities on any type of waves, and on flat water using wave riding equipment. The ISA crowned its first Men’s and Women’s World Champions in 1964. It crowned the first Big Wave World Champion in 1965; World Junior Champion in 1980; World Kneeboard Champions in 1982; World Longboard Surfing and World Bodyboard Champions in 1988; World Tandem Surfing Champions in 2006; World Masters Champions in 2007; World StandUp Paddle (SUP, both surfing and racing) and Paddleboard Champions in 2012, and World Para Surfing Champions in 2015.
ISA membership includes the surfing National Federations of 109 countries on five continents.
